Tio Hardiman, President of Violence Interrupters, and many other organizations met on March 31st to pledge continued collaboration in service to many city neighborhood communities.  A commitment was made to keep working to provide and improve multiple services currently provided.

The mission of H.O.P.E. Culture is to create a culture of Hope, Opportunity and Purpose within the minds and hearts of the people we service. We do this by Empowering individuals in 4 ways, Spiritually, Relationally, Economically and Educationally. H.O.P.E. Culture works with the most at-risk and underserved members of our community through strong intervention/prevention strategies, tangible resources, community building, and intentional collaborations.

HOPE Culture Chicago Organizational Overview

HOPE Culture Chicago is a Community Violence Intervention (CVI) organization serving some of Chicago’s most impacted and historically under-resourced communities, with a concentrated presence in South Lawndale , New City, and the broader Southwest Side. HOPE Culture operates as a trusted, community-based partner with the capacity to engage individuals and families who are both most affected by violence and most at risk of involvement in violence.

Rooted in trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice, HOPE Culture provides direct intervention, stabilization, and long-term pathways toward healing and opportunity. The organization works alongside city and state partners to reduce violence, support victims and survivors, and strengthen community safety through coordinated prevention strategies.

HOPE Culture’s Chicago programming is built upon three core service pillars:

1. Street Outreach & Violence Interruption

HOPE Culture conducts frontline outreach to individuals at highest risk, providing relationship-based engagement, conflict mediation, and violence interruption in community settings.

2. Case Management & Stabilization Support

The organization offers intensive wraparound case management to connect participants to critical resources, support goal planning, and promote long-term stability.

3. Victim Services & Trauma Response

HOPE Culture provides trauma-informed victim advocacy and support services for survivors of violence, including crisis intervention, safety planning, and resource navigation.

From these foundational pillars, HOPE Culture expands into additional supportive pathways, including:

  • Workforce development and economic opportunity programming
  • Youth development and mentorship initiatives
  • Behavioral health resources and mental health referral coordination
  • Community-based healing, recovery, and systems navigation support

Through this integrated model, HOPE Culture Chicago serves as both an intervention leader and a hub of care—helping individuals, families, and neighborhoods move from crisis toward safety, healing, and long-term empowerment.
